TAIOS Robotics
Governance Middleware for Robotics Workflows
TAIOS Robotics provides a governance layer between AI decision-making and robotic actuator execution. Before an AI-generated command reaches a robot's motors, sensors, or end-effectors, it passes through the TAIOS governance pipeline, verifying that the command complies with safety rules, operational boundaries, and workflow governance.
The governance layer is deterministic. The underlying AI models that generate commands are probabilistic. TAIOS Robotics does not replace the AI planner, it governs what the planner is permitted to execute.
Capabilities
Command Governance
Every AI-generated robotic command is verified against governance rules before execution. Commands that violate operational boundaries are refused with a governance receipt explaining why.
Adversarial Input Detection
Sensor inputs and external commands are scanned for adversarial patterns before being processed by the AI planner. The same detection engine that blocked 1,600/1,600 attacks in the security audits operates at the robotics input layer.
Execution Receipts
Every governed command produces a SHA-256 sealed receipt, cryptographic proof of what was requested, what was verified, and what was permitted. Full audit trail for every robotic action.
Platform Integration
Designed for integration with humanoid and industrial robotics platforms including Unitree G1, H1, and Z1. Uses open-source frameworks (LeRobot imitation learning) with TAIOS governance as the verification middleware between AI planning and physical execution.
Integration Architecture
| Layer | Component | Status |
|---|---|---|
| AI Planning | Frontier AI models (probabilistic) | Active |
| Governance | TAIOS governance pipeline (deterministic) | Active · 96.7% audited |
| Hardware | Unitree G1, H1, Z1 platforms | Integration planned |
| Safety certification | IEC 61508 / ISO 13849 | Not yet certified |
Target Applications
Warehouse & Logistics
Governed pick-and-place, sorting, and transport operations where AI commands must comply with operational boundaries and produce audit trails for quality assurance.
Manufacturing
Assembly line governance, verifying that AI-planned manufacturing steps comply with process specifications before execution. Every step receipted for traceability.
Agriculture
Governed autonomous operations for harvesting, planting, and monitoring where environmental constraints and operational boundaries must be enforced deterministically.
